1)Soar over the Valleys in a Hot air Balloon:-

The most fun thing to do in Cappadocia is hot-air balloon ride. In the summer season, over 100 hot-air balloons take to the skies just after sunrise and supple passengers with bird’s eye views of the central Valley area and their rock formations. Hot air balloon rides take around one hour with deluxe packages lasting around 90 minutes.

2)Goreme open-air Museum:-

Just outside the village of Goreme is the UNESCO world Heritage site of Goreme open-air Museum, a monestry cluster of rock-cut churches and monk cells that hold fabulous frescoes. These beautifully decorated, forescoed churches, houses and pigeon homes, carved out of the soft lava rock, attract many tourists to the Heart of Turkey.

3)Fairy Chimneys:-

In recent times, Cappadocia became famous for its unique landscape of valleys and unusual rock formations, known as “fairy chimneys”. The chimneys are a result of a geologic process that began millions of year ago, when volcanic eruptions rained Ash across what would eventually become Turkey. That Ash hardened into tuff, a porous rock, which was covered by a layer of basalt.

4)Uchisar Castle:-

The finest example of a historic cave home is the Uchisar Castle. This historic and beautiful castle is located in the town of Uchisar, in the Goreme province of Cappadocia, Turkey. The multi-leveled Uchisar Castle is the primary attraction here and looks rustic with rooms carved out of rocks and connected by stairs and passages. An easy Trek of about 100 steps take one to the top of the castle and the panoramic views from the top are spellbounding.

5)Love Valley:-

Love Valley also known as Baglidere Valley, is one of the most fantastic Valleys of Cappadocia. Located between Avanos and Goreme road, the valley is named after the interesting fairy chimneys formations. This is a really cool place to hike. From Love Valley, one can connect to white Valley and then pigeon Valley. Love Valley Cappadocia’s unique landscape makes you feel like you are walking on the moon with its large mushroom shapes and arid vegetation. Love Valley is a must see in the region.

Cappadocia is famous for its manti dishes. These are small pockets of pasta filled with meat or cheese and then topped with a yoghurty sauce. Cappadocia has fantastic food, and if you know where to look, for a good price.

#Best Season to Visit:-

Even June, July and August is a preferred time to visit as it’s a shoulder season offering the days can become hot but the temperature doesn’t exceed 40°C for tourists. You can enjoy the best of both worlds during this time.

#How to Reach:-

Travelling by air is perhaps the most convenient way to reach Cappadocia. Though, the Kayseri Erkilet Airport is an hour’s drive from Cappadocia, it is mainly served by the Turkish Airlines, Daily flights from Izmir via Istanbul to Kayseri are also run by this airline.
